RESPONSIBILITIES The candidate, hired in the Engineering Team of Pontecchio Marconi´s Plant, will report disciplinarily to the Site and functionally to the Global Engineering Services Division (GE) based in Germany. After an assignment of 24-36 months, he/she will have the opportunity to move to another BASF site (not necessarily Italian) as part of the development path encouraging the exchange of professional skills between the Engineering Service units and the BASF BUs. Core responsibilities include: Performing feasibility studies for the implementation of plant and process improvement interventions (expansion and optimization of production plants, optimization of the control systems of the plants). Supporting the production plant in the elaboration and implementation of plant modification projects. Ensuring compliance with deadlines, budgets and safety and environmental constraints during all phases of development and implementation of plant modification projects. Ensuring the correct execution of the assigned optimization and modification projects, supervising the work and managing relations with contractors and suppliers. Collaborating with the other commissioning and startup functions, ensuring support in the event of anomalies during the works and ensuring compliance with the QEHS regulations for the projects assigned through the use of company checklists and guidelines. Participating in global, regional or local key value add activities that are aligned with and contribute to OD business targets QUALIFICATIONS Master´s Degree in Chemical/Energetic/Mechanical Engineering with focus on process engineering. Full availability for national and international mobility is an indispensable prerequisite. The ideal candidate is an Engineer interested and / or willing to undertake a path within one or more foreign branches of BASF Group. Short experience in Project Management is a preferred requisite but also candidates at first work experience will be considered. The profile is completed by a good attitude to leadership, good planning / organization skills, a predisposition to team working as well as a strong orientation towards results and problem solving. An excellent knowledge of the Office package and full professional proficiency of the English language is required.
