The team you will be a part of The Project Management team manages all aspects of a large scale and complex project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing a project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays. Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project. This role in summary New products or development programs are delivered on time, cost and quality with the right product leadership. Your responsibilities will include Applies knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements Manages cross-functional teams through the global development phase and/or regional execution projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation (may be a regional execution) Influences cross-functionally to ensure smooth transition of projects to business owners Develops detailed work plans, schedules, dependencies, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports based on project scope and objectives Presents project status with recommendations to resolve issues and mitigate risks. Embraces opportunities to reduce complexity and inherent risk Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis including management of project risks. Develops plans to mitigate risks and resolve issues Manages tradeoffs to ensure optimal results are achieved Takes ownership for project delivery results through influence and leadership of team members/leaders Voice of the project – central point of contact, leadership reviews Responsible for driving Product Leadership through the Whirlpool Product Development process, including the following: Submit and approve capital requests Analyze cost gaps and ain cross-functional alignment on trade-off decisions Conduct gate assessments at G0-G4 Consolidate the identified and documented knowledge gaps (internal and external) Document change requests Confirm make/buy decisions Run Project Management Office, including: Complete communication Plan using defined Template Complete stakeholder management plan using defined template Complete project Scope Statement Complete Project Planning Summary Template Develop Project Schedule Populate Risk Management Plan Prepare and Facilitate Project Plan Events Consolidate recommendations and closure for G2-G4 Communicate updates needed for Product and Attribute Roadmaps Minimum requirements 5 – 10 years of proven program and project management experience of increasing size and scope. Expert skill and knowledge in appropriate application area, subject matter, category, etc. Ability to see the high-level overview of the organization and effectively negotiate and implement decisions and/or actions that support strategy, alignment, and innovation Business acumen – excellent business judgement with ability to make the tough calls to ensure product leadership is delivered Ability to capture opportunities to maximize business benefits and focuses on uncertain events in a positive manner. Able to navigate complex situations and enable the team to think systemically to identify potential solutions.
