The Global Information Technology (IT) Department of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is actively working on rationalising and streamlining the diverse technological landscape within the Group. This ongoing initiative bears many aspects and lead to many projects mobilising the overall workforce of the company.

To support our growing business, activities and needs, we are recruiting a talented IT Project Manager for New businesses as well as Mergers & Acquisitions to join our brand-new Global Operations Center located in Turin, Italy. As IT Project Manager, you act as the single point of contact for IT M&A activities within MSC, including new business, acquisition, divesture or carve-out. Main activities include the execution of IT Due Diligences end-to-end (process management and technical insights), managing the post-deal integration for IT related aspects, and building up MSC IT M&A competencies, toolkit and provide relevant coaching / training to extended MSC IT M&A teams.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

· Support MSC M&A activities to execute deals from end-to-end

· Gather relevant information and work with the target company to assess IT related aspects in terms of their future fit with MSC requirements (e.g. technology stack, data architecture and management, application architecture, workflows and business logic, development and support models, IT infrastructure, security & data privacy, software stack in use, frameworks, operations & performance metrics)

· Provide technical insights and evaluation of the target company

· Summarize the relevant information in IT Due Diligence reports to support decision marking and financial analysis

· Manage the IT integration or support local IT resources to manage the post-deal integration

· Develop IT M&A practices, toolkit and knowledge within MSC IT: build up team, create best practices and provide training to relevant MSC personnel involved in deals

· Provide coaching and mentoring to MSC IT personnel to support deals on local level

· Make sure running integration projects are managed appropriately, review quality where required and provide recommendations of improvement

· Liaising with business stakeholders and managers to understand business objectives and service requirements, contributing to the service improvement roadmap for assigned services and the prioritisation of initiatives

· Identifying potential issues and proactively proposing solutions and improvements

· Contributing to the definition and implementation of project best practices and quality processes

· Fulfilling ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Company

· Hierarchically reports to the Managing Director, MSC Technology Italy

· Functionally reports to the Infrastructure Team Leader

· Position to be filled in Turin

· Availability for travel as required (occasionally)

Required skills and experience:

· Extensive experience within information security/technology sector

· Operational support experience / Project management experience

· Experience in a fast-paced multinational / multicultural environment

· Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams with multiple stakeholders

· Experience of operating with a high level of autonomy and the ability to manage others to ensure delivery to agreed timescales

· Proven problem-solver and team-player, able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve optimal business outcomes

· Ability to self-motivate, proactively identifying areas and initiatives where you can add the most value to the business

· Able to work independently, well under pressure and challenges status quo

· Initiative Taker (Pro-active, persuasive, decisive)

· Applies judgment and adherence to MSC ethics, standards and integrity

· Able to build trust, respect and confidentiality

· Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills

· Outstanding English languages written and verbal communication skills

Desirable skills and experience:

· Understanding of core technical concepts such as:

o Cloud hosting technologies

o Infrastructure (System / Network / Security / DB)

o Code management practices

o DevOps

· ITIL qualification and/or other service/project management qualifications would be advantageous

· Proven track-record managing the delivery of business-critical IT services or systems working with service delivery and operations teams

· Fluency in French is a plus
