In this role you will be part of the Program management department (PMO) as an R&D Project Manager. You will develop products, systems, services or technologies for ABB´s Business Line Public Units by leading and managing the execution of one or more complex R&D projects or a program to meet project targets. You will coordinate work of multilocation and cross functional project team/s and lead in partnership with business managers, steering groups, product management and external parties and ensure value creation. Your responsibilities Manage complex projects and coordinate work of multi-location and cross-functional project team/s, lead your project team in a global environment. Motivate and monitor internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. Manage the cost, schedule and performance objectives of the projects and its work packages within a global organization. Lead gate meetings and steering committees in order to align, escalate and give transparency towards Management about project progress. Manage interdependencies between cross-functional workstreams in order to realize specified deliverables and benefits. Ensure appropriate requirements within the projects by partnering with relevant business unit/s or other customers. Ensure understanding of customer value in the projects and acts to ensure customer satisfaction and manage expectations. Take into consideration requirements and demands coming from customers and from internally within ABB. Ensure transparency around change requests, unforeseen results/events and identified risks and ensures that they are properly managed and communicated. Adapt and use methods like scrum, Kanban and more, sharing and enforcing them with the project team and the organization. Develop, implement and share project management requirements, processes, methods, techniques, tools, handbooks and guidelines. Your background Master degree or similar with solid Electrical Engineering, power electronics or another technical/technology background. Proven working experience of leading and managing complex projects and coordinating the work of multi-location and cross-functional project teams. Very clear communicator in English, strong structured communication towards internal and external stakeholders. Stress resistant person with lots of flexibility and creativity problem solving mentality, proactiveness, work very well independently and have a strong self-motivation. You know how to capture and fix requirements as well as getting commitments from different functional managers and partner with them. Willingness to travel.
