Description:  An Airframe Analysis Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington KY or via remote support. This job is a full-time direct position or contract. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, and experience in airframe structural analysis. In this job your primary responsibility will be classical hand calculations and finite element analysis for aircraft and suborbital spacecraft.

Airframe Analysis Engineer job duties:
* Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical aircraft hand stress analysis methods
* Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customer
* Ensure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validated
* Perform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findings
* Liaise with other teams as required
* Maintain strong communication with the internal project management and with the client
* Manage your own project work
* Mentor / train junior analysts
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing airframe analysis
* Strong hand calculations skills and finite element analysis capabilities (Patran, Nastran, or Femap)
* Static and fatigue analysis experience
* Metallic and composite analysis experience
* Prior leadership/mentoring experience is required
* Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must have excellent computer skills
* Due to the nature of our work US Citizenship is required
* Travel to customer or other Belcan locations as required

Preferred Qualifications:
* VBA or similar programming skill set
* Aircraft repair competency
* Crack propagation

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $83,200 to $135,200. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
