We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer – NodeJS who will be responsible for designing and implementing integration components between external platforms (such as CMSes, Translation Management Systems) and TranslationOS . You will be a key member of TOS Connector team connecting TOS to our customers – Airbnb, Uber, Amazon etc, and your responsibilities will include: We offer: full time contract day to day presence in our offices is required. What You’ll Do: You will join the Enterprise Integration Team and will be involved in building integrations components between Translated platform and the customers platforms. You will be pushed to build connectors that will solve the customer need at first but that also will be able to be reused for future integrations with other upcoming customers. Responsibilities Be involved and participate in the overall TOS connector products lifecycle (Github connector, Contentfull, Phrase) Main focus on coding, debugging and testing Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future Develop functional and sustainable applications with clean codes Troubleshoot and debug applications Optimization of the applications for maximum speed and scalability Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers and system administrators Stay up to date with current best practices Participate in decision-making processes Participate in building new connector and maintain the existing ones Practice code review and be code reviewed Test your code Care deeply about code quality, performance, but not be dogmatic about it Write technical and functional documentation with your team Collaborate with other areas (frontend, design, product). Requirements Knowledge of server-side web applications architectures 3 years of experience Docker/ Docker Compose Deep Knowledge of at Node and JS Good knowledge of Linux platforms Experience with Docker Experience with Relational DBMS (MySQL) Experience with NoSQL DBMS ( Redis) Experience with version control GIT and Github workflow Innate care for structured, modular, clean and efficient code. Quick learner and good communication skills. Proactive, self-driven and enjoys solving complex problems, not just in the primary area of responsibility but across boundaries. Git version control system and GitHub versioning platform with classic Fork/PR workflow Good engineering skills and customer centric mindset Nice to have Experience with DevOps activities and automation Experience with Linux environments, configuration and troubleshooting.
