While retaining always its DNA, in recent years Diesel has evolved into the world of premium casual wear, becoming a true alternative to the established luxury market. Diesel is a truly worldwide organization. It is present in more than 80 countries with 5,000 points of sale, including more than 400 company owned stores. We are looking for a Europe Buyer RTW Male, who will be placed within the European Buying Team directly reporting to the Head of Buying Europe and will be based in Diesel European HQ in Milan. Main activities and responsibilities : Pre-season – Work closely with Retail merchandising office in defining seasonal brief highlighting regional needs and opportunities. – Implement Brand Strategy following merchandising inputs on product selection and key stories/concepts to push. – Defining the European buying strategy for related Collections also collaborating with Regional Planning on building seasonal plan by collection/store. – Execute category buying by size based on merchandising inputs, seasonal budget and historical analysis. Define initial order and Open to Buy by Store. – Build the European collection structure and product workflow. In-season – Work with Visual Merchandising Team to ensure visual guidelines represent the EU Seasonal Buy, pushing key investment pieces – Prepare training documents for Stores explaining the buying Strategy and key messages of the season. – Analyze collection performances and activate prompt recovery plan if needed. – Presence in the market to identify new competitors and missed-opportunities. Maintain strong knowledge of the consumer base by participating at Store visits. – Work with allocation team on in season transfers and reactions. Post-Season – Identify key learning on the closed Season to feedback related departments. Main requirements: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years Retail buying experience in modernly structured fashion companies. Previous experience in the management of Male RTW product A degree in Economics, Fashion Management or similar Excellent knowledge of the English language Mastery in the use of the main Office tools (particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint) Ability to work under pressure and multitask and a strong pro-activity Experience in managing a team is a plus Sharp business sense and passion for the world of fashion, good aesthetic sensibility and a personal interest in new trends.
