We are currently recruiting an experienced Procurement professional to lead the Group’s General Expenditure (Genex) spend categories of Professional Services, ICT and HR. In this role, as part of an HQ Group Procurement team, you will lead category sourcing strategy development, deployment and supplier management across the business in order to drive value creation and minimize total cost of ownership. The role involves establishing and building appropriate relationships with internal stakeholders located in Europe and key suppliers to achieve goals and develop best practice, and may involve the management of Sourcing Support staff. Your primary focus will be on Professional Services, ICT and HR. Managing the end-to-end process starting with detecting project opportunities, together with the local countries and business, moving through the strategy definition, the RFX process to select and contract potential suppliers in accordance and interaction with the stakeholders will be the core of this role. Scope of responsibilities also includes initiating local Italian, French projects and supporting Central in global projects. It represents a spend of 50M€ per year. Your key tasks will include: Developing and implementing, in alignment with multifunctional/cross country teams, long-term strategic procurement plans, Acting as the sourcing expert for the specified category and the escalation point for major problems and issues, Developing and maintaining flexible sourcing strategies that adapt and respond to changes in both external market and internal demand, Performing supply market analysis and monitoring supply markets. Benchmarking industry and evaluating new opportunities to be included in the sourcing strategies and supplier selection process, Managing strategic supplier evaluation process and selecting suppliers using a cross-functional sourcing team, Leading negotiation, reviewing and supplier selection for contractual agreements within the category, Managing change within the contract and transition to new contract arrangements, Developing Supplier Relationship Management with strategic partners in order to maximize value creation in line with Ideal Standard’s needs, Stimulating a culture of continuous improvement, constantly re-evaluating better ways of doing things, Developing relationships with stakeholders at all levels and ensuring internal customer satisfaction, Tracking status/benefits, supplier performance and compliance relative to targets, Developing budget forecast, cost projections and “Total Cost of Ownership” model for materials/services in the category, Managing supply risk through the identification of internal and external risks, and the development of mitigating actions, Identifying opportunities to implement best-in-class approaches to reduce TCO, Contributing to the development of Procurement performance and capability in the category team, Coordinating and driving local activities and projects to assure consistency with the procurement strategy to meet the overall procurement plan. Your profile 7 years indirect spend procurement experience including extensive and demonstrable track record in all of the above Genex categories, with special focus on ICT spend Supply market knowledge and experience relevant to the categories in scope Strong experience in category management Experience working in an international, multi-country business & procurement environment Successful stakeholder management Experience of strategic sourcing process with a proven capability to analyse and develop strategies through to implementation Experience of active leadership of cross-functional project teams across multiple countries Strong negotiating skills and experience of applying these in high volume negotiations Strong change management, risk assessment and mitigation skills Knowledge of purchasing contract law Experience with procurement KPI’s, development of balanced score-cards that link with business objectives and priorities Robust financial understanding required to support ad-hoc and ongoing analytical and cost budgeting exercises Experience of supplier management and development is desirable Experience of working in a fast paced lean business culture such as venture capital or private equity organization is desirable. Relevant degree. Membership of a professional body such as CIPS desirable Experience in project management Excellent level of English written & spoken Strong MS Office literacy Interested?
