Senior Legal Counsel

Client Description: This is a great opportunity to become part of an international industrial company, based near Verona. Responsibilities: We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel, who will be responsible to provide regional legal and compliance support to all the subsidiaries in Italian Region. Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes: Serves as an easy-to-reach primary point of contact for all or specific legal and compliance issues Partners closely with Human Resources and cross-functional and regional teams to provide day to day counseling, evaluate legal risks and provide subject matter knowledge on a broad range of labor and employment issues Reviews new business relationships with vendors and subcontractors Understands and communicates the risks and opportunities related to the business and ensures compliance with local and global rules and regulations Advises stakeholders on a variety of corporate issues, including the negotiation of contractual terms and the evaluation of the degree of legal risk associated with every transaction. Coordinates with internal stakeholders and collects the necessary information and documentation for the execution of legal due diligence and the provision of the required legal support for all transactions Cooperates with external legal advisors, if required, for the effective management of legal cases that require specialization e.g., litigation, government filings, tender documents and licensing, strategic transactions such as M&As, integration of acquired companies, restructurings etc. Reviews legal documentation, including company’s policies, identifies possible legal risks and makes recommendations on actions to be taken, to protect company’s interests and ensures compliance with local and/or international legal standards. Candidate Profile: Only candidates who meet the following requirements will be considered: · Master’s degree in Law · 8/10 years of working experience ideally in an in-house company which operates in international environment. · Additional proven working experience in managing the implementation of compliance programs. · Knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to the industry · Fluent in both Italian and English (oral and written) We are looking for a professional with precision, attention to details and excellent problem-solving skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
