Job purpose: The Senior Manager, Digital & Social Media will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation and daily management of all global brand social media and social commerce eco-systems – considering brand (Versace, Versace Jeans Couture) channels. The ideal profile will oversee the social channel strategy and delivery of all social campaigns, contributing to the brand’s strategic goals, aligned with marketing function objectives of growth, engagement and conversion. The role is responsible for complete channel and community management, performance analysis and reporting alongside content planning and creation, incorporating creators tactics and partnerships. As we advance from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0 and incorporate evolving technologies, such as A.I. digital economies and mixed realities, the role will require and will nurture progressive thinking with trend-driven approaches to digital communications. Job Responsibilities: Strategy and Planning Design and develop the Versace social media strategy, ensuring alignment with the global marketing strategy and contributing to the achievement of the company’s business objectives. Define the social media content strategy and work closely with the Creative Services team to optimize the content creation and brief the content to maximize the effectiveness of the brand campaigns. Develop and manage monthly reporting on all social channels, reporting back on trends, insights and considerations for the marketing and creative functions providing analytics and social listening regular reports. Channels and Community Management Manage and implement full funnel campaign planning with innovative social media campaigns to drive awareness, engagement and brand storytelling. Manage editorial calendar for social channels, developing messaging and captions, asset selection and scheduling. Overseeing proactive community engagement, fostering UGC and ensuring brand-appropriate responses. Stakeholder and Partner Management Explore, nurture and manage relationships with social platforms, and partners creating direct lines of communication with key stakeholders. Pitch, monitor and evaluate partner agencies. Audit, manage and optimise social media tools within the business. Creators Identify key digital voices and talents to collaborate with for social media campaigns. Management and Ways of Working Lead and coordinate the regional teams in local Social Media activities ensuring global coordination. Social media coordination and attendance of brand events, activation and shows globally. Present and develop C-Level recommendations and project deck. Manage and develop Junior team members, including assistants, executives and interns. Work closely with the Global Media team to ensure proper amplification of the brand’s initiatives, ensuring full alignment between organic and paid social. Provide direction and management support. Profile: At least 5 years of experience in the same role for Fashion/Luxury Company or a social lead within a premium consumer business or platform; Excellent English and Italian knowledge confident in tone and language; Strong strategic thinker with implementation skills; Experience with social analytics and listening tools such as Crips, Brandwatch, or Iconosquare; Able to interpret data and business insights in order to formulate a strategy and manage daily; Exhibit the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side; Display in-depth knowledge and understanding of media and social media platforms, their respective participants and geographies as well as how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios; An open collaborative thinker with a proactive attitude to work and an autonomous approach; Be a team player with confidence to take the lead and guide; Master’s Degree in Marketing & Communication, Social Media Management; or similar is preferred but not essential.
