Job Summary The required role is for a System Engineer that will be involved in the design of Navigation and Command&Control systems for a wide range of applications: civil and military avionic (primarily), military ground based, space and naval. Its task will be to analyze customer requirements, generate a suitable system functional design by using model-based techniques, define the procedures required to validate and verify the design and support system integration. Responsibilities and Duties Analyse and discuss customer requirements to achieve an agreed baseline. Generate an architectural system model which fulfills applicable requirements both in hardware and software. Allocate design to hardware and software development. Validate the design. Generate the test procedures required to perform an early – on host – verification of the design. Define and validate the test procedures required for integration. Support system integration Define the requirements applicable to the test equipment needed for integration. Organize and coordinate reviews to check suitability and progress of the design activities Qualifications and Skills Required Skills Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar disciplines. Minimum of 4 years of experience in system engineering Proven knowledge of avionic standards applicable to the development of avionic systems: SAE/ARP4754, DO178C, DO254 Good knowledge of requirements management. Good knowledge of model-based methodologies/tools for design. Familiar with configuration management activities Deterministic networking and publish/subscribe technologies. Familiar with system integration activities. Professional ethics and preparation for collaborative work in multidisciplinary teams Attitude to work in pipeline, taking over the documents generated by other members in the working team. Organized and systematic to maintain documentation in appropriate order. Strong interpersonal and communications skills Knowledge of English Language, both in writing/reading technical documentation and in speaking/listening during project meeting and design reviews Preferred Skills Experience in requirements management using IBM DOORS database Familiar with Matlab/Simulink, SCADE.
