Job Description We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our DevOps Engineering team which plays a major coordination role among software development, QM, Sys-Ops and Services teams. The DevOps Engineering team maps the value chain of system consulting, development support, continuous integration/delivery, testing, operational preparation and also documentation. As an SRE engineer in Merkle, you will collaborate with the DevOps Engineering Team to facilitate their terms with the rest of the stakeholders and support automation, CI/CD process & transition into the cloud. Job Responsibilities Requirements gathering with the project team (internal) and the client or partners (external). Scope definition and effort estimation. Participate to system integrations and configurations of the customer’s target systems. Develop, improve and maintain cloud infrastructure Manage incidents and conduct incident reviews Contribute to design & setup development, test and production environments Support of hosting providers and coordinate Sys-Ops tasks (firewall, databases, file shares, release management, configuration management, load tests, performance tests, backup / restore proceeding, etc.) Set up automation processes hand in hand with the DevOps, development and operations teams. Act as a trusted advisor to choose the most appropriate tools and applications in the delivery of solutions Documentation (system architecture, test procedures, operational management manual, runbooks) Cross functional communication and collaboration (CX Operations, software engineering, quality management) including external stakeholders (client teams, hosting provider) Monitoring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure Enhanced the monitoring capabilities based on findings or new requirements Development and optimisation of the automation tools, standards and DevOps tools. Contribute to cloud platform optimization As per the support service be able to be on-call outside of office hours. Qualifications Experience in Kubernetes and Docker in production environments Hands-on experience working with either AWS or Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Serverless) or both Expert in cloud infrastructure management: Azure Excellent scripting using Python, Bash Excellent communication skills in English and Italian Experience in logging and monitoring PRTG, GrayLog, NewRelic, Grafana, ELK, Datadog Experience with GitOps approach GitHub Experiences in enhancing the security of Hybrid Cloud environments. Experience in Terraform Hands-on, self-starter Ability to design & manage resilient infrastructures Experienced in Agile and/or ITIL methodologies.
