The Global Software Quality Manager has the role of selecting tools and methodologies to ensure that software tests identify defects and complies with software quality standard for the software used in ABB E-Mobility products. Reporting to the Global Quality Manager, you will create and deploy a system for software quality assurance, managing all aspects in line with guidance from ABB E-Mobility. This position reports to Global Quality Manager Your responsibilities Evaluates test plan and results for software against expected results; Standardize testing strategy and test plans by product/software family; Implement improvements to process and recommend alternative testing as needed; Draft revises and approves test plan and scripts; Ensure that global software and systems development processes and best-practices are executed in all development projects through a combination of coaching, project audits, and reviews; Assist the development teams to identify individual project quality risks, and to put in place enough risk mitigation measures; Coach directly project teams during formal problem solving of customer issues, including the appropriate application of root cause analysis tools (i.e. 8D, 5-Why); Consolidate preventative actions, lessons learned, and other process improvement measures derived from customer projects; Define and ensure that software quality metrics are accurate, visible, and acted upon in the organization; Prepare and report a recurring software quality scorecard for leadership Conduct audits/assessments of external embedded software suppliers (where applicable); Support the global software and systems engineering management team to prepare for and successfully execute ASPICE assessments (preferred); Collaborate with SW Embedded team and Quality to define testing strategy by product family and SW family; Your background 5 years of experience in software quality assurance (automotive market is a plus); Demonstrated track record of accomplishment and passion for leading change and continuous improvement initiatives in software product quality; Experience planning, preparing for, and successfully executing ASPICE assessments and IATF/TS16949 audits (preferred); Lean Six Sigma Green or Black (preferred) Belt certification, or in process of certification; Knowledge of Programming, data mining tools and statistical software experience – such as: Minitab, Python, R, SQ (preferred); A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills; Past experience in data analytics are a plus; More about us We look forward to receiving your application.
