Job Description We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Commercial Insights & Operations to report to the International Director Commercial Insights & Operations.This position can be located in the Zug office, Milan (remote), Paris, Munich. Key Responsibilities Manage the Commercial Operations & Analytics plan encompassing all areas of responsibility including , field operations, data management, analytics, and reporting, market research, forecasting Closely collaborate with Director CIO to drive the function Within rare disease space, the CI&O AD will work on patient and HCPs targeting initiatives at regional and country level Ensure Commercial Operations & Analytics team is working effectively with cross-functional commercial partners to maintain strategic alignment, produce high quality deliverables, and achieve performance objectives. Partner with Marketing, Sales & Market Access teams to develop and maintain deep commercial insights through market research and business analytics. Support field operations including field CRM implementation / evolution, reporting, and field communications. Ensure regular, effective communication with priority markets to identify challenges and opportunities and deliver solutions as needed Partner with IT to maintain the European commercial data environment to continuously improve the functionality of reporting tools Work with other commercial functions to measure and report on KPIs on a regular basis to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement Work and collaborate with the commercial operations global team to ensure alignment, seek efficiencies and key learnings from previous launches. Work closely with Finance team to ensure data and systems are in place for sales tracking and revenue recognition Develop a close, collaborative relationship with Medical Affairs leadership to ensure teams are working effectively together both internally and in the field Demonstrate commercial operations & analytics thought leadership and represent Deciphera at key meetings when appropriate. Ensure successful agency/vendor partnerships Develop and delivers presentations to senior leadership Qualifications University degree, MBA or PhD in science and/or economics preferred At least 4-5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry or in the management consulting space. Proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint Demonstrated experience in data analytics and modeling. Must be a true team player – authentic, humble, able to build a positive team spirit and lead through the ups and downs of drug development, puts success of team above own interests and support everyone’s efforts to grow and develop Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead in a matrix organization and have the managerial courage to make and stand by difficult decisions, has critical mindset. Used to work and influence cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders and with scientific and commercial teams Ability and willingness to work effectively and seamlessly at multiple “altitudes” within the organization. Maintains a “no job is too big or too small” attitude necessary to succeed in a startup environment. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of commercial strategy, opportunity and risks for the International Team. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in the work environment. Manages competing demands. Changes approach or method to best fit the situation. Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events with maturity and professionalism.
