Varisco is a well-established and ever-expanding company. It manufactures pumps, both for dewatering and industrial use. In 2016 Varisco was acquired by Atlas Copco, a Swedish multinational company with 150 years of history behind it. As Supplier Quality Engineer you’ll be part of an operational team (Purchasing) with the goal to work on the stability of the supply chain and the growth of the Company. The Role: Maintaining the quality of supplied parts to satisfy the production line needs. Defining control plans with Engineering department and agreeing them with the suppliers Making continuous improvement plan and actions to enhance part quality and reduce number of non-conformities and the Cost of Poor Quality Getting the knowledge on the function of each part and understand the quality standard clearly to acquire the part quality required by the company. Leading suppliers to be proactive on quality improvement actions with effective communication skill and closely communicate with related people in the company to embed requirements in each part. Understanding quality control tools and applying to part quality improvement. Training the suppliers on main quality tools (as 8D report) Supporting the Strategic Buyers in selecting new suppliers (Approval Procedure, Supplier Risk Analysis, Supplier Assessment) Establishing long lasting and transparent relationship with suppliers What we expect from our candidates: Technical background – Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Ability to read and understand technical drawings Knowledge in casting and machining processes Experience in similar roles is important but the right attitude overcomes it Command of Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and Environmental Management system (ISO 14001) Excellent use of PC (Office Package) Command of SAP, ERP Positive and proactive approach, empathy and resilience Availability for business trips Fluent in Italian and English What is important for us : Active collaboration with your colleagues Promotion of new ideas with a focus on improvement and innovation Adherence to the company rules, commitment to develop inclusion and collaboration in the workplace Promotion of the company’s values – Interaction, Commitment and Innovation – in order to fulfil Atlas Copco’s vision “First in mind – First in Choice” Customer-oriented approach Diverse by nature and inclusive by choice Bright ideas come from all of us.
