The Sunshine Flyer Obtains Resort Transportation Operator Permit The Sunshine Flyer , a source of transportation from Orlando International Airport to the Walt Disney World resorts that is perfect for family travelers, recently obtained its official Resort Transportation Operator Permit from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. Launching operations in February 2022, The Sunshine Flyer has worked toward this official permit status since inception as it can now move its operations inside Terminal B, Level 1, Ground Transportation. Guests can find the train-themed transportation service more easily than before. “We know how important it is to our guests to be able to more easily locate us within the airport,” said Tony Glibkowski, vice president, The Sunshine Flyer. “Since before our first day of service, we have been working toward obtaining this permit so that we can better serve our guests and ensure their vacation starts the moment they step off the plane. This is a big step in making that happen. We are very excited for our guests to enjoy our new location. They can look forward to the same great service, but now in a much-easier-to-find location.” Kid travelers enjoy many of The Sunshine Flyer’s amenities, like three-point harness seat belts at each seat, conductor hats for kids, stickers, coloring and activity books, and onboard video entertainment. For families traveling as part of the Make-A-Wish program, transportation is complimentary. Tickets cost $11 per child and $19.50 per adult. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey. Imagine a hotel where there’s a themed room for every one of your childhood-favorite fandoms. Denver’s The Curtis Hotel might come to mind. This downtown Denver property features a pop culture theme throughout, with each floor boasting its own theme — and rooms scattered throughout the property even take this “theme-ing” to a whole new level. Science museums are sure kid-pleasers, so it’s good for family travelers to have a few in mind when they travel. While you’ll find science exhibits and activities in most children’s museums, these are usually aimed at younger children. Here are five you should know about in the Midwest. As the only major U.S. airline to own a flight school, United Airlines already hit a major milestone, and now the carrier celebrates another important — and historic — step as the inaugural class of United Aviate Academy pilots graduates, leading the next generation of aviators. The 51 students in the graduating class were majority, at 80 percent, women and people of color — another stride toward United’s goal of training 5,000 new pilots by 2030 with half women or POC.
