Thermofluidic Mechanical Engineer

Job Description Summary At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation. As Thermofluidic Mechanical Engineer you will be part of an engineering team that will provide engineering services for large and small projects. The Thermofluidic Mechanical Engineer will be largely responsible for defining system requirements, defining design criteria, technical specifications, data sheet and technical reports. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Feasibility studies and cost estimation Interface with external designer Support the development of mechanical and thermotechnical design to meet project planning, quality and cost objectives Supervise the mechanical systems for all Avio Aero sites Perform energy audits for all Avio Aero sites Verify the compliance of the plants and plan the interventions in the investment plan Perform and/or verify preliminary studies between Avio Aero sites technical/regulatory reference in the field of mechanical/thermofluidic systems Qualification/Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Engineering with relevant work experience Previous experience in an engineering position Background in mechanics/energetics with strong knowledge of applicable regulatory and technical standards Knowledge of specific engineering software such as: Office professional, Project Win, AutoCAD 2D and 3D, MC4 Software suite Fluent Italian and basic English knowledge Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems Ability to document, plan, and execute projects Availability to travel in the short and medium term What we offer Smart working and work life-balance Avio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
