Job Summary: The Trading, Commercial & Content Planning Manager is responsible for the commercial and content planning process for the DTC business in Italy as well as for tracking and providing regular trading updates and business analysis to the Italian and EMEA DTC leadership. This role is a key part of the DTC Growth team and will provide an important contribution in driving profitable growth in Italy with a specific focus on the launch and growth of the Advertising business in Italy. The Trading, Commercial & Content Planning Manager will support the DTC Growth Director to define and track the overall commercial plan for Italy, and will partner closely with (i) local DTC managers in each functional team, in particular Finance, Marketing, and Ad Sales teams, to provide them with relevant insights on opportunities and risks, and (ii) the Regional Planning and Trading team to guarantee alignment in both methodologies/goals as well as current performance. The role will define and continuously improve the local forecasting by understanding the market and the business dynamics based on the most recent business performance and local insights. This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week. Areas of Responsibility Role is responsible for managing all DTC main reporting and forecasting KPIs for Italy and leading growth reviews with key stakeholders. In particular the role will: Own the regional Disney subscriber planning, including the preparation of forecasts and annual/long-range plans – i.e. LRP, AOP, QBRs, MBRs, Latest Views (LVs). Analyse opportunities and risks to our plan, and presents sensitivities to senior executives. Understand and explain the input metrics and drivers of growth to help maximize ROI. Track, analyse trading numbers on a daily/weekly/monthly basis (sign-ups, churn, net growth, subscribers, etc.) and provide insights to key stakeholders on short, mid and long term opportunities and risks Report, monitor and forecast Advertising KPIs including subscribers’ engagement (e.g. hours streamed, etc.), advertising impressions, subscribers plans mix in close alignment with the EMEA Ad Sales and Planning and Trading teams providing guidelines to other teams to meet the targets Prepare weekly action plans to improve sign-ups within an optimised spend and address retention Prepare presentations required by senior management and EMEA leadership teams regarding Disney planning and trading Experience and Professional Qualifications Required At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar highly data driven role (e.g. Finance, Marketing Analytics, Commercial Planning) within a high-growth DTC subscription business or customer-focused tech company Ad Sales knowledge within the advertising business is preferred Competencies Required Extensive experience in digital commerce, with strong track record in delivering commercial and trading analysis and reports Excellent analytical skills, able to understand, develop and enhance a complex financial modelling and planning infrastructures Strong business understanding, allowing to help develop, quantify and articulate strategies and tactics that drive incremental growth Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Italian and English, coupled with the ability to synthesize detailed information into succinct and actionable recommendations in presentations for our senior executives Self-motivated, deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve multiple issues simultaneously Collaborative mindset and ability to navigate and build trust in a complex organization Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point knowledge is required; Microsoft Office skills are preferred and Power BI / Tableau desired skills The Walt Disney Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
