THE ROLE New Guards Group is looking for a Treasury & Credit Director, who will report to the VP, Finance and will lead the global Group Treasury & Credit operations: ensuring effective management of the core treasury functions and effective liquidity management, optimising financial risk exposure and managing credit and collections activities to support the company’s financial objectives. This will be a pivotal role in managing and optimising our company’s treasury operations and credit management strategies. WHAT YOU’LL DO Develop and implement treasury policies, strategies, and procedures to ensure efficient cash flow management and optimal utilisation of funds. Monitor and analyse cash positions, forecasting short- and long-term liquidity needs, and making recommendations for cash flow optimization. Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure competitive financing terms, lines of credit, and banking services. Partner with our FARFETCH Global Treasury team to ensure effective foreign exchange (FX) and interest rate risk management strategies are in place to mitigate exposure to currency and interest rate fluctuations. Collaborate with senior leadership to determine optimal capital structure and funding options that align with the company’s financial goals and risk tolerance. Evaluate debt financing opportunities, negotiate terms, and manage debt covenants to ensure compliance with agreements. Develop and implement credit policies and guidelines to assess and manage customer creditworthiness and credit limits. Lead credit risk assessments and evaluations, ensuring that credit decisions align with company policies and risk appetite. Monitor accounts receivable and collections processes to minimise overdue accounts and maintain healthy cash flow. Prepare timely and accurate treasury reports, including cash flow forecasts, liquidity analysis, and risk exposure assessments, for executive management and the Board of Directors. Ensure compliance with international financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls related to treasury and credit management. WHO YOU ARE Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or finance is required. Proven track record of at least 15 years in progressively responsible treasury, credit, and risk management roles within multinational companies preferably in the Fashion & Luxury industry. Strong understanding of global financial markets, foreign exchange, interest rates, and risk management strategies. Experience in negotiating and managing banking relationships, credit facilities, and debt financing arrangements. Proficiency in financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, and treasury management systems. Proficient in business intelligence software, Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Effective Italian and English communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset. Ability to adapt and work in an international, dynamic and constantly changing environment. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, compliance, and maintaining confidentiality.
