Job Description Organon Italy has an exciting and challenging position available for a candidate with relevant industry experience with market access and pricing. Therefore, we are currently looking for a: Value Access and Pricing Director This role is based in Rome. Purpose of the role The Director, Value Access & Pricing will be responsible for providing strategic and technical expertise to the Italian Affiliate by developing and executing the market access and pricing strategies, as well as the access/defense strategy development, and will partner with key stakeholders in the development of innovative access solutions to drive the success of the Affiliate. The role involves establishing strong working relationships with the Regional and Local Access leads; alliance partners; and strong collaborations with global functions including but not limited to Commercial, Marketing, Medical, & Clinical Development. Welcome to the team This function will report to the Executive Director of Market Access, Biosimilars & Tenders, Policy & Communication. You will lead a team, existing of an Ass. Dir. Market Access, Ass. Dir. Pricing, Value Access Lead, and Value Access Senior Specialist. Main responsibilities Determine an access or defense strategy for any present or future drugs/devices of our portfolio, exploiting all business opportunities and avoiding any negative impact on company reputation at the National and regional level (e.g., new pricing & reimbursement procedure; Potential formulary revision; Payback; Inclusion in Regional PTOR;).Define value stories and generate new data (HTA), aligned with company business priorities that can make a difference in the perception of our products/devices and enhance our value proposition.Liaise with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, policymakers, and industry associations.Monitor regional trends/Decrees/Regulations by collaborating with other customers’ facing roles to anticipate or to reduce any negative impact on the business.Develop initial price assumptions and reimbursement access strategy recommendations.Draft and establish price guidance in collaboration with top countries and regions, including design of a global launch sequence plan by collaborating cross-functionally.Provide pricing input to key planning processes for Brand planning and portfolio review.Enhance information exchange and best practice sharing across regions, drive adoption of pricing tools and resources.Provide and maintain an in-depth understanding of changing pricing, reimbursement access environment, processes, and policies of key global markets.Hire, train, mentor, build out and manage market access specialists on a day-to-day basis.Work as part of the greater team that involves policy, communication, biosimilars and tender team, collaborating with international colleagues and other senior leaders, on creating cross-functional projects aligned with strategic priorities.Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize access and pricing of pharmaceutical/devices products for all BUs. Be responsible for pricing strategy and accuracy aligned with Global Policies. Your profile PhD or Masters in relevant discipline preferred.10 or More Years overall related experienceExcellent knowledge of the Italian and European healthcare systems, including the HTA and reimbursement processesStrategical thinking and strong network capabilityExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of an enlarged team.Transformational leader able to collaborate with any organizational levels.Experience people manager with reports of different professional seniority.European Experience as a minimum.Global Experience is advantageous.
