ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Virtual Validation (XIL)Specialist is responsible for XIL model development, deployment and maintenance, virtual testing definition, plan, execution and assessment in different environmental conditions and use cases. Principal subjects: XIL model development, virtual testing definition, virtual testing plan, virtual testing execution, virtual testing assessment, innovation, idea & value creation and data management & processing. DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS: Good knowledge on the electro-mechanical systems, vehicle architectures and components with a specific focus in the electrification field (physical modeling) Good knowledge on test automation XIL model development, deployment and maintenance using established development tools, methodologies, guidelines and procedures Virtual testing definition, plan, execution and assessment Capacity to identify bugs, to manage and report troubles and open issues and to support proactively the colleagues with control logics improvement and bug fixing Creation, maintenance and storage of test results, vehicles parameters, measurements, etc Work in a multifunctional and cross team Attitude to work on different applications (i.e. Medium/Heavy duty range vehicles, Light duty range vehicles, Bus range) Experience on vehicle ECU’s application Knowledge on the functional safety (ISO 26262) and safety culture in general (risks identification and analysis) Robust know-how on the Matlab and Simulink toolchain (including the versions upgrade) Good knowledge and know-how on HIL technologies (NI, dSpace and Vector) Computer skills: Windows operating systems Microsoft Office™ tools (Word™, Excel™ and PowerPoint™) Microsoft Outlook™ Microsoft Project™ SW versioning tools (Tortoise or GIT) Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, Mathworks toolbox and toolchain MS Visual Studio Polarion (or any other equivalent application lifecycle development tool) ETAS Inca ETAS MDA QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS : Secondary school on Electronic, Informatics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation or equivalent fields. Proven working experience or attitude in the requested position Good knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication networks and engineering tools Solid problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
