Join us, and together, we’ll engineer a brighter future Job Description We’re looking for a Vice President of Operations with a robust background in electronics and operations management to join our executive team. The VPO will play a pivotal role in overseeing our day-to-day operations, with a primary emphasis on the production and manufacturing of electronic devices for life science applications. Key Responsibilities Production Operations and Product Maintenance Management Oversee the production process, ensuring efficient and timely manufacturing of electronic devices for life science applications. Optimize production workflows, resource allocation, and capacity planning to meet production targets. Implement best practices for quality control, process standardization, and continuous improvement in production operations. Develop and implement maintenance strategies for the Company’s products. Coordinate with the support team to prioritize and schedule product maintenance, monitor maintenance requests and track progress to minimize downtime and disruptions for customers. Supply Chain and Vendor Management Collaborate with the supply chain and procurement teams to manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and components. Implement robust supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and mitigate supply chain risks. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines, such as ISO, FDA, and other regulations. Work closely with the quality assurance and regulatory affairs teams to develop and maintain robust quality systems and documentation. Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and ensure the organization’s adherence to regulatory changes. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, and product development teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and technologies into production. Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely delivery of the sold products and with the support team. Collaborate with the marketing teams to align production strategies with marketing activities, product launches, and promotional campaigns. Talent Management Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within the operations function. Reporting and Analysis Prepare regular operational reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and efficiency. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost optimization opportunities. Present recommendations and insights to the executive team to support strategic decision-making. Candidate Experience Needed 8 years of experience in operations, supply chain management and product maintenance, and production optimization, Previous experience in electronics engineering or life science companies, especially in sectors like Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, and Life Science Research and Development, Familiarity with microtechnology, silicon microchip technology, and Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS), Strong knowledge of MedTech regulatory affairs, Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset, Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
