Background
The International Business Unit (IBU) is accelerating the transformation of our customer engagement model, focusing on providing customers with exceptional experiences that are generated through seamless and coordinated engagements across functions in a timely and tailored way. Simply put, we want to engage the right customers with the right information through the right channel and at the right time orchestrating engagements across Marketing, Sales, Medical and PRA. To do this, we need to accelerate and scale capabilities in Omnichannel (OCE) across all customer-facing functions.

Position Overview
The International Omnichannel Next Best Engagement Analytics Associate Director will be part of the Lilly international Omnichannel Analytics Team and will be accountable for setting the direction and establish the activities related to the NBE implementation, partnering with business stakeholders at both Lilly international and Local level to provide meaningful customer/business insights to inform key decisions. Turning data into insights requires to deal with a vast amount of information, (un)structured, quantitative, qualitative data, coming from various sources and functions. Therefore, this role is accountable for strategic development, management and continuous improvement of end-to-end data processes consolidating data from various sources of our business considering synergies of the various countries in the Lilly International.
The responsibilities of this role will evolve as the organization continues its digital transformation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and validate data models with sound statistical foundation to combine data from different sources and functionalities to enable NBA/NBE
- Develop understanding of Lilly international multichannel engagements framework, NBA/NBE framework (Next best action/ Next best engagement), and their specific analytic needs
- Develop understanding of brands promotion and business strategy to support them on analytics and measurement needs
- Consolidate, analyze, and extract insights to answer business questions.
- Visualize and communicate relevant data insights to relevant business stakeholders to enable data-driven decisions and foster analytics understanding of the organization.
- Lead design and execution of analytic priorities and metric design with collaboration with internal global and local stakeholders.
- Consolidate and ensure proper data collection process and ensure database accuracy by collaborating with Lilly international IT functions and business functions in order to enable NBA/NBE
- Identify, optimize, speed up and automate operational processes where possible.
- Initiate & contribute to analytics & digital transformation related key initiatives & special projects
Position Requirements:
- Degree in science, computer science, finance, or related degree
- Prior experience in data and analytics across variety of projects such as reporting, dashboard development, exploratory data analysis, segmentation, forecasting, statistical modelling, predictive analysis
- 5-7 years of analytics or related work experience
Technical & Additional Skills
- Excellent data querying skills, SQL or equivalent
- Excellent data mining and data modelling skills in R, KNIME, SAS, or other statistical analysis tools
- Excellent skills in data visualization (Tableau, Power BI or equivalent)
- Experience working with Google analytics is a plus
- Strong analytical skills coupled with business acumen, and an ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment
- Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills with attention to detail
- High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations
- Curious and agile mind to investigate new technologies on his own
