Network engineer

Provide the basic functions of the website; Allow users to use social media features; The purpose of the job is to ensure that the ST Microelectronics services are duly designed and deployed at the Catania and Palermo sites, with the objectives to guarantee wired and wireless legacy and digital communication up to date and aligned to the digitalization IT process by also keeping the current infrastructure running and well performing. To establish communications systems by programming voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment. Telco specialist focuses on the interaction between computer systems, communication media and methods, and devices. He/she designs cabling, data, and voice communication solutions and oversees the installation and maintenance of these systems, including their repair and testing while also compiling reports and proposing improvement programs, in joint with internal and external stakeholders. Profile This position is for a telco technician with minimum 2-5 years of experience covering several domains of voice and data networking . Ability to cover the entire scope of Voice and Data network layers and devices. Certified expertise in several domains of telecommunication knowledge and Technologies (such as PBX, access network, Radio Frequency protocols, automated security tools for voice broadcasting, incident management, antenna’s coverage, telco audit and risk assessment…). Proven Expertise in Industrial site Service delivering and troubleshooting. Proven/certified ability to lead Radio Frequency survey and robustness campaign. Expertise in data and voice ticketing systems for Incident and request management. Flexibility and adaptability to remain up-to-date with industry trends. Ability to provide thorough, complete, and concise technical documentation. Experience in delivering technical support and basic training to end-users in local and remote. Ability to interact with people at all levels of the site organization. Ability to support international (ST and/or even providers) counterparts for testing and troubleshooting. Dealing with complexity, Ability to treat several topics in parallel, to qualify the subjects and to translate technical aspects into risks and to turn risks into opportunity for improvement. Ability to consider short-term as well as longer term actions and to plan in advance.
