Payroll Manager

Job Description As Payroll Manager for Italy, you will be responsible for payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with local regulations, and effective communication with employees and collaborators. Reporting to the HR Director Italy, you will drive payroll, time and attendance, and leave management, manage regional decision-making, and relationship with vendor. You will also track regional payroll health, mitigate risks, and handle payroll timelines and calendars within the region. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Payroll Management: Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including data collection, validation, calculations, and disbursements and coordinate with external payroll service providers. Handle payroll timelines and calendars within the region to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees within the country and resolve any payroll-related issues. Compliance and Reporting: Guarantee adherence to local labor laws, tax regulations, and other government payroll requirements, staying up to date on changes and adjusting processes accordingly. Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports, including tax filings, and other statutory or government reporting requirements. Supervise country group leads, ensuring payroll, time and attendance, and leave management compliance and SLA verification. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure flawless integration of payroll activities with other functions. Communicate payroll-related policies, procedures, and updates to employees and managers. Provide timely resolution while addressing any payroll-related queries and issues. Identify potential risks, call out any critical issues or non-compliance situations and implement mitigation plans with the appropriate partners. Collaborate with global lead and regional team to establish and implement corrective actions. Process Improvement: Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure data integrity and identify areas for improvement, automation, and standardization. Create and implement standard methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in payroll operations. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 10 years of experience in payroll management, preferably in a multinational or large corporate environment. In-depth knowledge of local labor laws, tax regulations, and other country-specific government payroll requirements. Proficiency in using payroll software and systems and working knowledge of time and attendance management applications. Italian and English advanced language skills (C1 minimum). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to optimally interact with employees and stakeholders. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost integrity. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Experience with Oracle HCM and ADP Knowledge of Kronos, ADP E-time, etc. You show a tremendous amount of initiative in tough situations and are exceptional at spotting and seizing opportunities.
