(Remote)Mechanical Designer

Description: A Mechanical Designer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT (or remote). This is a full-time direct job with benefits. To be considered, you will need an Associate Degree in Drafting, Design, Product Definition, or similar and five plus years of experience. You will be a part of a team of Designer Drafters to design CAD layouts and perform tolerance studies per customer standards. You will also produce drawings to include detail views for various assemblies and mechanical components for the aerospace industry. Mechanical Designer Duties: Layout design and perform detailed tolerance studies. Use CAD tools to generate new or change detail, assembly, and layout drawings in NX CAD per industry and customer drafting standards. Use CAD tools to check detail, assembly, and layout drawings per industry and customer drafting checking standards. Apply Geometric, Dimensioning, and Tolerancing (GD&T) standard practices to drawings and drawing changes. Route and signoff drafting tasks within customers Teamcenter Product Lifecycle (PLM) management system. Work with customers central drafting/PDD team to ensure drafting strategies are being executed to program plan as directed by customers engineering manager. Assist Design Engineering with 3D model creation and release. Qualifications: Five plus years of Design, Drafting/Detailing, or Engineering experience Associate Degree in Drafting, Design, Product Definition, Mechanical Engineering or similar High proficiency with a 3D CAD Software preferably Siemens NX Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required Desired but not required skills: Previous aerospace drafting experience We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $80,000 to $90,480 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
