Senior Composite Design Engineer

In order to strengthen our engineering team we are looking to hire a Senior Composite Design Engineer, based in Maranello (Italy). In this position, you will be responsible for the design, detailing and project management of advanced composite structures and components.

As part of the team, you will:

•    Full end-to-end project ownership of Composite components from concept design, through testing/homologation phases and solving of any reliability issues.
•    Demonstrate high level design skills with the ability to translate Aerodynamic surfaces into lightweight, cost effective and reliable design solutions.
•    When required, lead a small team of engineers with a strong focus on mentoring of junior designers.

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Mechanical, Motorsport Engineering or similar. And you will have gained at least 5 years’ dedicated experience in composite design in the automotive sector or motorsport.
Strong knowledge of Composite manufacturing techniques and latest material technologies is important to manage the activities.

It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities. Excellent CAD skills are mandatory to manage the activities.

Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage. We appreciate individuals with experience outside their country of origin, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
